APPLICATION:
HYDROISOLATOR 1K is used to perform waterproofing and anti-moisture protection combined with a mineral substrate. It can be used outdoors and indoors on mineral substrates such as concrete floors, concrete and reinforced concrete structures, and cement-lime plasters. HYDROISOLATOR 1K is used to seal the surfaces of terraces, balconies and foundation insulation systems. After hardening, the insulation becomes flexible and resistant to weather conditions, fungi and algae.
PROPERTIES:
Hydroisolatro-1K is a single-component waterproofing mass based on cement, minerals, special synthetic additives and new generation reinforcing fibers, selected according to the recipe developed in the ARSANIT Laboratory. After mixing with water, a liquid mass is created, easy to apply even on vertical surfaces, which can be applied in layers up to 2 mm thick in one application to the surface. Thanks to the high content of high-quality synthetic resins, Hydroisolator-1K remains permanently flexible in all environmental conditions and resistant to de-icing salts, sulphates, chlorides and lime water. HYDROISOLATOR-1K adheres perfectly to all concrete surfaces and porous materials, provided that they are load-bearing and clean.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
HYDROISOLATOR 1K can be used on load-bearing, compact and free of substances such as fats, organic substances and dust.
WHEN INSULATION CAN BE APPLIED:
— For concrete over 28 days,
— For screeds and cement plasters over 28 days,
— For Arsanit ZS 014 self-leveling screeds, minimum 7 days,
— For brick walls over 28 days,
- For hollow brick walls over 28 days,
- For block walls made with a full joint, over 28 days,
These substrates must be even, absorbent and porous. Existing dirt, low-strength layers and all paint coatings and organic substances should be removed. It is recommended to clean the substrate by sandblasting or high-pressure water washing. All cracks should be widened and filled with RAPID CONCRETE RC-30 concrete repair mortar. Sharp protrusions require chipping or grinding. Concrete on the balcony or terrace that has been eroded or damaged should be repaired with the RAPID KONKRET system before waterproofing. If sealing is performed under high water pressure, the substrate must have adequate strength.
Before applying HYDROISOLATOR-1K, the substrate should be moistened abundantly with water to obtain a moist substrate.
HOW TO USE:
Pour the appropriate amount of water into a clean container for the selected application method:
- When applying with a brush or roller - about 20% water,
- When filling - about 15% water,
The consistency of the mortar should be selected depending on the method of application.
The mortar should be mixed until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. When applying manually, the first layer of HYDROISOLATOR-1K should always be applied generously with a brush onto a damp but not wet substrate, subsequent applications should always be applied with a trowel. The applied layer should be protected against drying too quickly - from warm wind and sunlight. Apply the second layer on the matt damp hardened first layer. Similarly, apply a third layer if necessary. Subsequent layers of HYDOISOLATOR-1K can be applied approximately every 4 hours. When applying the layer, the mortar cannot be applied thicker than 1.5 mm. Clean tools and fresh dirt with water. Use at temperatures from +5°C to +28°C. The applied HYDROISOLATOR-1K should be protected against too rapid drying and rainfall for at least 3 days. It is recommended to use covers that protect against strong sunlight, drafts, rain and frost. Do not maintain the mortar by pouring or sprinkling it with water.
Ceramic tiles should be installed 3 days after the installation of HYDROISOLATOR-1K, and only acrylic and silicone paint coatings should be applied no earlier than after 7 days.
