HYDROISOLATOR 2K - Flexible two-component waterproofing designed to protect against water and moisture. Waterproofing intended for use inside and outside buildings on substrates such as: concrete floors, concrete and reinforced concrete structures, cement-lime plasters. HYDROIZOLATOR 2K is intended for sealing the surfaces of terraces and balconies and the so-called wet zones in sanitary rooms such as shower cabins, bathrooms, laundries, etc. It can also be applied to the surfaces of basement walls and foundations exposed to constant contact with groundwater and in water reservoirs under pressure. If the surface will be exposed to mechanical loads, e.g. foot traffic, ceramic tiles should be used. Do not use on plaster substrates. To insulate plasterboards inside buildings, use a single-component liquid HYDROISOLATOR foil.

PROPERTIES:
HYDROISOLATOR-2K is a two-component sealing mass based on cement binders, selected minerals, special additives and artificial fibers, selected according to the recipe developed in the ARSANIT Laboratory. After mixing both components, a liquid mass is created that is easy to apply even on vertical surfaces and can be applied in layers up to 2 mm thick in one work cycle. Thanks to the high content of high-quality synthetic resins, HYDROISOLATOR-2K remains permanently flexible in all environmental conditions and adheres perfectly to all concrete surfaces and porous materials, provided that they are load-bearing and clean.

SUBSTRATES ON WHICH YOU CAN USE:
— concrete over 28 drying days,
— cement plasters over 28 drying days,
— Arsanit ZS 014 self-leveling primers, drying time exceeding 7 days,
— brick walls with more than 28 drying days,
- walls made of hollow bricks, drying time exceeding 28 days,
- block walls made with a full joint, more than 28 days of drying,
These substrates must be even, absorbent and porous. Existing dirt, low-strength layers and any paint coatings or organic substances must be removed. It is recommended to clean the substrate by sandblasting or washing with high-pressure water. Any cracks should be widened and filled with ARSANIT RC-30 concrete repair mortar. Sharp edges require scraping or sanding. Concrete on a balcony or terrace that has been eroded should be repaired with RAPID before waterproofing. In the case of waterproofing in a tank with high water pressure, the substrate must have adequate strength.
Before applying HYDROISOLATOR-2K, the substrate should be moistened abundantly with water.
HOW TO USE:
The consistency of the mortar should be selected depending on the method of application:
FOR APPLICATION WITH A TROWEL OR MACHINE
– pour component B (liquid) into the container and stir constantly while adding component A (powder).
FOR APPLICATION WITH A BRUSH
– pour component B (liquid) into a container, add up to a maximum of 5% water and, while pouring component A (powder), mix continuously with a low-speed drill with a mixer.
The mortar should be mixed until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. The last layer of insulation should only be applied with a trowel in the version without adding water. When applying manually, the first layer of HYDROISOLATOR-2K should always be applied generously with a brush onto a damp but not wet substrate, subsequent applications should always be done with a trowel. The applied layer should be protected against drying too quickly - from warm wind and sunlight. Apply the second layer on the matt damp hardened first layer. Similarly, apply a third layer if necessary. In closed places, HYDOISOLATOR-2K layers can be applied approximately every 4 hours. A layer thicker than 1.5 mm cannot be applied in one treatment. Clean tools and fresh dirt with water. Use at temperatures from +5°C to +28°C. The applied HYDROISOLATOR-2K should be protected against too rapid drying, frost and precipitation for at least 3 days. It is recommended to use covers that protect against strong sunlight, drafts, rain and frost. Do not maintain the mortar by pouring or sprinkling it with water. Ceramic tiles should be attached 3 days after the installation of HYDROISOLATOR-2K, and only acrylic and silicone paint coatings should be applied no earlier than after 7 days.
WEAR NORMS:
Average consumption: approximately 1.5 kg/m2 per 1 mm of layer thickness.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool room in original packaging.
