THERMATYNK-SI is a silicate-silicone thin-layer structural plaster intended for manual application of external and internal decorative plasters. It can be used on all even and load-bearing mineral substrates, such as concrete, traditional cement, cement-lime plasters and others. THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plaster is recommended for finishing walls with high vapor permeability, for example: walls made of aerated concrete and aerated concrete.
- Coating microbiological protection,
- Resistant to algae and fungi,
- Flexible and impact-resistant,
- Prevents water from entering the wall,
- Resistant to washing and weather conditions,
- Resistant to dirt, has self-cleaning properties,
- High vapor permeability, ensuring free transport of water vapor,
- Dyed from the 365 ARSANIT color palette or on individual order,
- We recommend SPRINTER-FT as an agent that accelerates setting and drying,
PROPERTIES:
THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plaster combines the advantages of silicate and silicone plaster. It is a ready-to-use mass with a pasty consistency, produced on the basis of water glass, silicone emulsion, acrylic polymer, fillers and modifying admixtures. It is efficient, very comfortable and easy to use. After drying, it forms a durable coating that prevents water from penetrating the wall, perfectly repels water and does not allow it to penetrate the plaster structure. Thanks to this, the plaster is more resistant to moisture and pollution. THERMATYNK-SI is used to protect facades on buildings and all walls where there is high humidity in rooms, e.g. in bathrooms and basements. It has very good adhesion to substrates. THERMATYNK-SI is resistant to washing, weather conditions and does not allow the development of algae and fungi on the surface of the plaster.
The colors of THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plasters are presented in the ARSANIT color palette.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Complete drying time: 12 to 48 hours,
- Initial drying time: about 15 minutes,
- Application temperature: from +5°C to +28°C,
- Shelf life: 12 months,
- For use: outdoors and indoors,
- Application method: by hand,
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:
The substrate should be stable, even and suitably strong, free from layers that may weaken the adhesion of the plaster, especially dirt, dust, oil, grease, wax and paint remnants. Old paint and plaster coatings with insufficient adhesion should be removed and any gaps should be filled using adhesive mortar. Please remember that before applying the THERMATYNK-SI plaster, the substrate should always be covered with THERMAGRUNT-SI primer, which ensures good adhesion to the substrate.
AVAILABLE STRUCTURES AND GRIT SIZING:
Lamb 1.0 mm – 2.5 mm
Woodworm 1.5 mm – 2.5 mm
PREPARATION:
THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plaster is delivered ready-to-use. It must not be combined with other materials, diluted or thickened. Immediately before use, the mass should be stirred to even out the consistency.
TOOLS NEEDED:
Drill with mixer, smooth steel and plastic trowel. Tools should be washed with water immediately after work.
EXECUTION:
THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plaster should be applied to the prepared substrate in an even layer of aggregate thickness, using a smooth stainless steel trowel. Excess plaster should be drawn back into the bucket and mixed again. The obtained surface is smoothed using a plastic trowel.
- For plaster with a lamb-like structure - in circular motions.
- For plaster with a bark beetle structure - with vertical, horizontal or circular movements, depending on the expected effect.
The open time of the plaster between application and troweling depends on the absorbency of the substrate, ambient temperature and consistency of the mortar. It should be determined what is the maximum possibility of pulling and troweling in one cycle, for a given type of substrate and conditions. The material should be applied using the "wet on wet" method, not allowing the applied layer to dry before applying the next one. Otherwise, the junction of the two layers will be visible. Breaks in work should be properly planned, for example in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the junction of colors, etc. The drying time of the plaster depends on the substrate, temperature and relative air humidity and ranges from 28 to 48 hours. In conditions of increased humidity and low temperature, the plaster setting time is extended. During the application and drying of the THERMATYNK-SI silicate-silicone plaster, the ambient temperature should be +8°C to +28°C, also at night.
ATTENTION:
In order to avoid color differences when applying colored plasters, plasters with the same production batch number should be applied on one surface.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:
THERMATYNK-SI should be transported and stored in tightly closed buckets, at a positive temperature. The shelf life is 12 months from the production date indicated on the packaging.
Protect from moisture.
PACKAGING:
Bucket 25 kg,
PALETTE:
25 kg x 24 pieces = 600 kg.
