APPLICATION:
THERMATynk-M is intended for manual making of decorative surfaces outside and inside buildings, in particular for plinths, foundations, balcony walls, corridors, school rooms, sports halls and others. THERMATynk-M mosaic plaster is characterized by high durability and resistance to washing, abrasion and cleaning. It can be used on all even mineral substrates, such as concrete, cement-lime plasters, cement plasters, plasterboards, wood-based boards and other substrates. A wide range of colors allows for great freedom in the design and execution of surfaces.
PROPERTIES:
THERMATynk-M is manufactured on the basis of the highest quality acrylic resin and colored mineral aggregate. It is an easy, convenient and very efficient product to use. THERMATynk-M is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors and low concentration of thermal stresses, which eliminates the formation of cracks in the plaster. The high resin content guarantees high surface resistance to external factors, such as washing, scrubbing and pressure spraying.
Note:
THERMATynk-M is milky white after application. The plaster gains its proper color only after it dries. High air humidity and low temperature may extend the plaster's setting time and change the color shade. With prolonged contact with water, so-called milking may occur, which disappears after drying. The penetration of moisture from the substrate must be prevented.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The substrate should be strong and even, clean of dust, lime, grease, dirt, oil, wax, and remnants of chalk, lime, emulsion and oil paint. Oil residues on concrete should be removed with a stream of hot steam or oil removers. Dirty surfaces covered with algae should be removed mechanically with a stream of steam or special agents. Before applying the THERMATynk-M plaster, regardless of the substrate, a primer should be made using the THERMAGrunt-AM plaster primer to obtain an appropriate adhesive layer. In special cases, if there is a need to reduce the absorbency of the substrate, use Akryl Grunt Stronger priming emulsion .
MORTAR PREPARATION:
THERMATynk-M is delivered ready-to-use. After opening the bucket, mix its contents thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous consistency.
HOW TO USE:
The THERMATynk-M mosaic plaster should be applied to the prepared and primed substrate with a layer of aggregate grain thickness and the wet plaster should be smoothed, constantly in the same direction, using a smooth stainless steel trowel. When applying THERMATynk-M plaster to the substrate, protect the plastered surface against solar radiation, wind and rain. The maximum surface area that can be covered in one technological cycle - application and smoothing - should be determined experimentally for each type of substrate. Mosaic plaster should be applied without allowing the troweled part to dry before applying the next one. Otherwise, the location of this connection may be visible. Technological breaks should be planned in advance, for example in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the junction of colors, etc. The drying time of the plaster depends on the substrate, temperature and relative air humidity and ranges from 12 to 48 hours. In conditions of increased humidity and low temperature of approximately +5°C, the plaster setting time may be extended. While applying and drying the THERMATynk-M mosaic plaster , the ambient temperature should be +5°C to +25°C.
ATTENTION:
In order to eliminate differences in color shades when applying THERMATynk-M mosaic plasters , plaster with the same production date as indicated on the bucket should be applied to one surface.
WEAR:
Depending on the thickness of the layer and the type of substrate, the average consumption is from 3 kg to 4 kg per 1 m2 (material consumption should be determined based on a test).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The manual specifies the scope of use of the product and the recommended method of performing the work, but cannot replace the professional preparation of the contractor. The manufacturer guarantees the quality of the product, but has no influence on the conditions and method of its use.
The shelf life is 12 months from the production date indicated on the packaging.
