JOKER FARB-AW EKO is an interior acrylic emulsion paint that creates a matte, snow-white coating, allowing walls to breathe thanks to its microporous structure. It is designed for decorative painting of walls and ceilings inside spaces. The paint is perfect for cement-lime renders, gypsum surfaces, and plasterboard.

JOKER FARB-AW EKO can be used for painting walls and ceilings for the first time and for renovation. The paint is recommended for use in protective and decorative coatings.

A few steps that are worth taking before painting so that the paint sticks well to the surface and does not peel off the walls and ceiling:


SUBSTRATE ASSESSMENT:

Before you start painting, it is worth taking a closer look at the walls, removing any irregularities and plastering any holes. We should take most of the furniture outside so that it does not impede movement and work while painting. The doors should be covered with painting foil. Additionally, it is worth wrapping all cables and wires with tape or foil.

STEP 1: Remove any irregularities with the ARTE SUPER FINISH hybrid gel plaster , resistant to cracking, the plaster provides a perfectly smooth surface.

STEP 2: Prime the walls and ceiling with AKRYL GRUNT GRUNTEX or AKRYL GRUNT STRONGER priming emulsion to improve the adhesion of the paint and prevent it from peeling off in the future.

STEP 3: Painting the walls or ceiling with JOKER FARB-AW EKO white matt. 




PROTECTING THE SUBSTRATE BEFORE PAINTING:

Painting often involves getting the floor dirty, so it is worth protecting it carefully so as not to get the floor dirty when walking and painting. The best solution is to glue the foil to the floor near the bottom strips.



WINDOW SAFETY

Frames and windows are another place that needs protection against paint chips. Especially when painting the ceiling, we can accidentally get them dirty. Some preparations have a watery consistency and therefore splash onto other surfaces. We will also protect the windows with painting foil and tape. It's a good idea to open the window before covering it. It will then be difficult to open it under the foil, and it will be advisable to properly ventilate the rooms when painting.



PREPARING THE CEILING FOR PAINTING:

The ceiling and walls need to be cleaned before applying the paint, this is necessary because most of the dust accumulates there.




PREPARING WALLS FOR PAINTING:

It is important that the walls are clean and then gently smooth the walls with medium or fine-grained sandpaper (we only sand filled gaps or when the entire wall is plastered). It is then a good idea to prime the wall with a primer to ensure good paint adhesion, and if the wall is freshly plastered or has never been painted, it should be primed first to prevent the paint from peeling off the wall or ceiling.


TOOLS:

Brush or brush, paint roller, machine. Tools should be washed with clean water immediately after use.

Up to 12 months from the production date, store in dry places, in undamaged factory packaging and at temperatures from +5°C to +28°C.
