THERMATYNK-ST - silicate thin-layer, structural plaster, intended for manual execution of external and internal decorative plasters. It can be used on all even and load-bearing mineral substrates, such as concrete, traditional cement and cement-lime plasters, and others. THERMATYNK-ST silicate plaster is especially recommended for finishing walls with high vapor permeability, for example: walls made of aerated concrete or aerated concrete.
Dyed from the ARSANIT palette of 365 colors or on individual order, after drying it is a durable, highly vapor permeable surface, ensuring free transport of water vapor, resistant to washing and weather conditions. THERMATYNK-ST is resistant to the development of algae and fungi on the surface of the plaster.
- high color durability, unlimited color palette,
- coating microbiological protection,
- resistant to algae and fungi,
- high vapor permeability of the mortar,
- resistant to washing and weather conditions,
PROPERTIES:
THERMATYNK-ST silicate plaster is a ready-to-use mass with a paste consistency, produced on the basis of water glass, special resin and marble aggregate. It is efficient, very comfortable and easy to use, and after drying it has very high vapor permeability, ensuring the free flow of water vapor and its release. THERMATYNK-ST has very good adhesion to typical substrates, is resistant to washing, weather conditions and contains agents that limit the development of algae and fungi on the surface of the plaster.
The colors of THERMATYNK-ST silicate plasters are presented in the ARSANIT color palette.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Complete drying time: up to 72 hours,
- Initial drying time: about 15 minutes,
- Application temperature: from +8°C to +28°C,
- Shelf life: 12 months,
- For use: indoors and outdoors,
- Application method: manual,
PLASTER PREPARATION:
THERMATYNK-ST silicate plaster is delivered ready-to-use. It must not be combined with other materials, diluted or thickened. Immediately before use, the mass should be stirred to even out the consistency.
AVAILABLE STRUCTURES AND GRIT SIZING:
Lamb 1.0 mm – 2.5 mm,
Woodworm 1.5 mm – 2.5 mm,
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:
The substrate should be stable, even and suitably strong, free from layers that may weaken the adhesion of the plaster, especially dirt, dust, oil, grease, wax and paint remnants. Old paint and plaster coatings with insufficient adhesion should be removed and any gaps should be filled using adhesive mortar. Please remember that before applying the THERMATYNK-ST plaster, the surface should always be covered with THERMAGRUNT-ST primer, which ensures good adhesion to the surface.
TOOLS:
Drill with mixer, smooth steel and plastic trowel. Tools should be washed with water immediately after work.
EXECUTION:
THERMATYNK-ST silicate plaster should be applied to the prepared substrate in an even layer of aggregate thickness, using a smooth stainless steel trowel. Excess product should be drawn back into the bucket and mixed again. The obtained surface is smoothed using a plastic trowel.
- For plaster with a lamb-like structure - in circular motions,
- For plaster with a bark beetle structure - with vertical, horizontal or circular movements.
The open time of the plaster (between application and troweling) depends on the absorbency of the substrate, ambient temperature and consistency of the mortar. While plastering and drying, protect the plastered surface from sun, wind and rain. The maximum surface that can be covered in one technological cycle (tensioning and trowelling) should be experimentally determined for a given type of substrate and conditions. The material should be applied without allowing the applied layer to dry before applying the next one. Otherwise, the junction of the two layers will be visible. Breaks in work should be properly planned, for example in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the junction of colors, etc. The drying time of the plaster depends on the substrate, temperature and relative air humidity and ranges from 48 to 72 hours. In conditions of increased humidity and low temperature, the plaster setting time is extended. While applying and drying the THERMATYNK-ST silicate plaster, the ambient temperature should be from +8°C to +28°C, also at night.
ATTENTION:
In order to avoid color differences when applying colored plasters, plasters with the same production batch number should be applied on one surface.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:
THERMATYNK-ST should be transported and stored in tightly closed buckets, at a positive temperature. The shelf life is 12 months from the production date indicated on the packaging.
Protect from moisture.
PACKAGING:
Bucket 25 kg,
PALETTE:
25 kg x 24 pieces = 600 kg.
