APPLICATION:
THERMATynk TM-010 white mineral plaster is a thin-layer, noble structural plaster intended for manual or mechanical application of internal and external plasters.
Mechanical construction of the external façade recommended by authorized contractors. It can be used on all even and load-bearing mineral substrates, such as cement, cement-lime plasters, concrete, etc.
PROPERTIES:
THERMATynk TM-010 is a dry mineral mixture with added aggregates and modifiers that facilitate the application and increase the adhesion of the plaster to the substrate. Vapor-permeable and water-resistant once fully set.
Thanks to mineral additives, it reduces the risk of efflorescence. This is the main reason for reducing the amount of calcium hydroxide and reducing free lime and increasing resistance to chemical corrosion.
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:
The substrate should be strong and even, clean of dust, lime, grease, dirt, oil, wax, and remnants of chalk, lime, emulsion and oil paint. Old paint and plaster coatings with insufficient adhesion should be removed and the gaps should be filled using e.g. adhesive mortar. Dusty and crumbling surfaces should be primed. Always use THERMAGrunt-ST to increase adhesion .
TOOLS:
Drill with mixer, smooth steel and plastic trowel. Tools should be washed with water immediately after work.
PRODUCT PREPARATION:
THERMATynk TM-010 MINERAŁ WHITE is prepared by pouring the entire contents of the bag into a container with a measured amount of water (4.5 L - 5.0 L of water per 25 kg package) and mixing mechanically until a uniform mass is obtained without lumps. The mortar is ready for use after about 10 minutes and after re-mixing, during which the consistency can be adjusted according to the conditions of use. Ready mortar should be used within 1.5 hours. During work, it is recommended to stir the mortar from time to time to uniform the consistency.
EXECUTION:
Apply the plaster to the substrate using a smooth stainless steel trowel to the grain thickness and remove the excess. Depending on the application conditions, the absorbency of the substrate, the ambient temperature and the consistency of the mortar, after an appropriate time, rub the plaster with a plastic trowel to the desired texture. After a short time, when the mass does not stick to the tool, texture the plaster using a plastic trowel held flat. The plaster can be rubbed vertically, horizontally, in a circular or crosswise motion, thus obtaining various textures. Try to plan the work in such a way that technological connections are planned, for example, in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the junction of colors, etc. The plastered surface should be protected, both during the work and after the plastering, from direct sunlight, wind and precipitation. . The drying time of the plaster, depending on the substrate, temperature and relative air humidity, is approximately 12 to 48 hours. The temperature of the substrate and surroundings during the work and when the plaster is drying for a minimum of 24 hours should be from +5°C to +28°C.
The plastered surface can be painted using facade paints 2 - 6 weeks after finishing plastering. Only painting with silicate paint is possible after it has dried, but not earlier than after 3 days.
